POACHED PEARS

Ingredients

5 ripe pears
500ml Apple & Ginger juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
Half a lemon
Whipped cream or similar to serve

Poached Pears

Add a little Apple & Ginger juice to spice up your pears.

Peel & core the pears.

Gently poach for ten minutes in the Apple & Ginger juice, with the juice of the lemon and the vanilla extract.

Cool in the pan allowing the pears to soak up the flavours of the juice and vanilla.

Serve with whipped cream or Greek yogurt.

Cawston Tip:
If you only have a couple of pears just use a little less juice. Leftovers can be sliced and eaten with porridge the next day.
