Looking for Things To Do this February Half Term with your Little Sippers? Well, you've come to the right place. There's quite a few of us here at Cawston Press HQ with Little Sippers of our own, and here's a few suggestions of things we'll be doing with them to keep them busy, active, entertained (away from screen time!) and most importantly, tiring them out for an easy bed time... we hope.
1. Singing Lift at the Royal Festival Hall, London
If you're like us and enjoy music on all levels (literally), make your way to the Royal Festival Hall foyer and discover the Singing Lift. Yes, that's right, you read correctly. Singing. Lift! Designed by Turner Prize winner Martin Creed, the lift, officially known as 'Piece for Choir and Elevator', installed at the Royal Festival Hall in 2010, sings to you as you ascend to your desired destination. So all aboard, hit floor 6 and let the melodic sounds serenade your ears. Delightful.
Cost: Utterly Free.
2. London's Roman Amphitheatre
If you're lucky (?) enough to have a 7 year old, you might be hearing all about the Romans at home from their joyous learnings at that lovely educational establishment that you leave them at all day. Well, why not truly immerse them into the ancient history of Roman London at the Guildhall Art Gallery, where you can step into a well preserved Roman ruins.
Cost: Stupendously Free, but you must book a timed slot online on the Guildhall Art Gallery website.
3. Dog Man Movie
Now, when we heard someone was taking their Little Sippers to watch the Dog Man movie this half term, because they are "obsessed", we weren't quiet sure if that combination of words even made sense. But since then, we've watch the movie trailer, and now we're also obsessed and cannot wait to catch it ourselves. Our favourite movie spot? It has to be a Curzon Cinema, with the extra luxurious seating, making you feel right at home and relaxed.
Tickets: Children from £6.59, Adults from £13.25
Honourable Mentions:
Top suggestions, but didn't quite make our favourite top three selections:
- Young V&A with plenty to do
- The Wonder Labs at the Science Museum
- Going on a Hike, our favourite way to find routes? AllTrails.com
Whatever it is you decide to do, there's one way to keep your Little Sippers happy, always ensure there's a Fruit Waters packed away with you for your days out.
Good luck, you can do this, it's only a week this time!
